Having worked with a plumbing and heating service provider over the last years with their bid submissions through our sister company, Bid & Tender Support, KCS Compliance Services were approached to help collate and submit the compliance information required for their annual Constructionline and CHAS renewal.
The client was struggling to find time for extra administration duties and with an impending Constructionline and CHAS renewal to complete they asked us to step in and support.
Through our shared documents that we already had access to through making bid submissions on their behalf, we were able to quickly pull together a file of supporting documents required for their CHAS renewal and upload these through the CHAS online system. Within a couple of days the client had a response from CHAS to confirm their accreditation had been renewed, with no further evidence required. They also gained their Constructionline certificate shortly after too.
We were able take the pain away from managing renewals and do it right first time, leaving staff members to focus on delivering their day-to-day services. A delay in renewal could have resulted in work being stopped, causing significant disruption and loss of earning.
We now have an annual reminder set-up so we know when to collate the necessary evidence and submit the renewal, saving our client this worry.
CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is a pre-approval scheme, which allows contractors to demonstrate to potential clients that they meet the required health and safety standards.
Constructionline is a founder member of Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP). SSIP was developed to alleviate the need for construction companies to undergo multiple stage one Health and Safety assessments. The scheme acts as an umbrella body to facilitate mutual recognition between different health and safety schemes.
Having Constructionline proves to both new and existing clients that companies meet the health and safety regulations.
