Our most recent new client, referred to us through our partners, PB Safety, are a fast-growing construction company with an established quality, environment and safety management system in place, being holders of both ISO 9001 and 14001 already.
The team at KCS Compliance Services were approached to help guide them in achieving their new ISO 45001 Health & Safety Management System certification, a goal which involved reviewing all their documentation, processes and procedures to work out what improvements were required in order to prepare for the new certification.
We initially completed a full day remotely reviewing all documentation before attending their Head Office in person to meet the team, review the system in more detail, and ask questions. We provided a full report of recommendations to be realised between now and their certification audit, and also advised on how to streamline across the three different accredited systems to make life easier and demonstrate compliance.
Work is ongoing as we are supporting our client achieve some of our recommendations, including the creation of bespoke templates and documents. We are excited to be supporting this company and hope to book an ISO 45001 certification audit for them for the start of 2022.
ISO 45001, replaces/supersedes the British standard 18001. The Occupational Health and Safety Standard is good for organisations’ well-being and provides a framework for managing Health and Safety responsibilities.
