04 May HSE battles stress in the construction industry
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has launched a new ‘Stress Talking Toolkit’ developed specifically to support workers and managers within the construction sector. This is the first time that the HSE has produced something aimed directly at preventing work-related stress on building sites, recognising the need to promote positive mental health and support those in need is crucial within the sector.
The toolkit is primarily aimed at small and medium sized businesses with a regular workforce (employed and contracted) who wish to be proactive in addressing this issue. It provides a step-by-step guide to managers, suggesting how to start conversions with your team members about stress and put solutions in place to support worker’s mental health.
